REDWOOD CITY, Calif., June 24, 2009—Sentilla Corporation, provider of demand-side energy management solutions for data centers and commercial facilities, today announced that its Sentilla Energy Manager for Data Centers™ was honored with a Stevie Award for New Product of the Year in the Computer Software – New Version by the American Business Awards. The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network. The American Business Awards, also known as Stevie Awards, were created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the efforts and accomplishments of business people throughout the world.
The Sentilla Energy Manager for Data Centers, released in late January 2009, was developed as an energy management solution for data centers and commercial facilities to analyze energy use and waste at the equipment level to create actionable profiles of an organization’s energy footprint. The resulting intelligence enables companies to reduce energy consumption, decrease carbon emissions and dramatically lower operating costs.
“Sentilla’s solutions track consumption at the equipment level to help commercial facilities cut energy usage, resulting in reduced energy costs and carbon footprints. Sentilla recently launched its new Sentilla Energy Manager™ for Data Centers to provide detailed analysis of the power profile of a data center, enabling managers and IT staff to better measure and manage power consumption, increase energy efficiency and lower operating costs to improve business performance. By joining the USGBC, Sentilla is committing to work with builders to ensure its technology meets their requirements for green buildings of all types and sizes.
Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.
“We are very excited to receive this award, as it speaks to the growing awareness of the high consumption of energy associated with data centers, and the pivotal role that Sentilla Energy Manager plays in helping organizations reduce costs and carbon emissions within data centers,” said Bob Davis, chief executive officer of Sentilla. “This award is further validation of the market need for Sentilla’s technology.”
More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners. Details about The American Business Awards and the list of Finalists and Stevie Award winners are available at www.stevieawards.com/aba.
