Mike Kaul is Sentilla’s chief executive officer. He has over 20 years of software industry experience. He was President and CEO of diCarta, the leader in enterprise contract management software. Prior to diCarta, Mike was Chairman of BuildPoint, CEO of HotDispatch and Vice president and General Manager of Attachmate Corporation's Business Solutions Group. Mike also held various executive positions at Oracle Corporation, first as Vice President of U.S. marketing, then as Vice President of Advanced Technologies, and finally as Vice President and General Manager of Oracle's New Technologies Division. Earlier in his career, Mike was a U.S. Air Force pilot.
Mike holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.
David Appelbaum is Sentilla's vice president of marketing. A seasoned software-marketing executive with 20 years experience, David has worked with many of the most innovative and influential software companies in the world. He’s created highly successful and award winning campaigns for Borland, Oracle, Autonomy, Salesforce.com, BigFix, and Act-On. In addition to traditional integrated marketing communication and lead generation programs, he is a recognized innovator in the business use of social media.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College.
David Knowlton is Sentilla’s vice president of sales. He comes to the company with more than six years experience as a vice president of sales for the software companies AlertEnterprise, Selectica, Emptoris and diCarta. David has been an integral member of sales teams including Interwoven, Axent Technologies, Extensity, Remedy and Frame Technology.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Pepperdine University.
Ranvir Wadera is senior vice president of product development. Ranvir brings to Sentilla more than 20 years of product development and management experience in both entrepreneurial and large company environments. Before joining Sentilla, he was founder and CEO of Rjenda, a SaaS solution for the education market. Prior to Rjenda, he was vice president of product development for query and reporting tools at Hyperion/Oracle, managing over 275 people worldwide. Prior to Hyperion, Ranvir was vice president of product development at Business Objects. Early in his career, he also held product development positions at Oracle and developer and manager roles in India.
Ranvir received his undergraduate and post-graduate education in India from the University of Delhi and the International Management Institute with follow up technical education from UC Berkeley.
Rob Szewczyk is co-founder and is principal architect with Sentilla. Rob is the primary developer behind Sentilla's software platform and energy management technology. Rob's experience stems from his work with large data sets and data analysis, stemming from pioneering remote sensing projects. Prior to Sentilla, he held development positions at JavaSoft/Sun, Intel, and Quaartz. He also co-invented a low-level language for networking systems, and was a founder of the TinyOS embedded operating system project.
Rob holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S in Computer Science from Cornell University.
